Danish track cycling national team 

The Danish track cycling national team is in these weeks at Club La Santa, preparing for the World track cycling championships in the end of March.
 

The team consisting of 9 riders, including the defending World Champions in 4000 m team pursuit, Jens-Erik Madsen, Michael Færk Christensen, Casper Jørgensen and Alex Rasmussen, has chosen Club La Santa for the last preparations before the World Championships on their home turf in Ballerup, Denmark.
 

The goal for the team is to win a medal in the team pursuit, and they are confident that this is possible. Furthermore, Alex Rasmussen is going for the gold medal in the scratch race, which he won in 2005.
 

The warm climate of Lanzarote gives the riders a good opportunity to get some distance training, before they are going home to Denmark, to do the last preparations on the track in Ballerup.
