Famous Spanish athletes running the only marathon celebrated on Canarian soil!

The Ciudad de Arrecife Marathon Lanzarote is the only marathon to be organized on the Canary Islands!

We are proud to announce the participation of the six-times Spanish Champion on 100 Km run Jorge Aubeso, as well as the winner of the Bezana Marathon (Cantabria), José Antonio Requejo, and the already 4 times runner up of the Lanzarote Marathon, César Hervada, (person best for marathon:2:23)

The race will take place on Sunday 3 December, starting at 10.00 a.m. at the “Recinto Ferial” in Arrecife, the capital of the island of Lanzarote.

For those who prefer to run a shorter distance, the organization also offers a½Marathon or¼ Marathon - in addition to the option ro race the full marathon by relay.

The race course is one, two or four loops on the avenue along the Atlantic Ocean, showing the most beautiful views of the city.

For the half marathon, José Carlos Hernández Cabrera, winner of the ¼ marathon last year and winner of the half marathon of Gran Canaria ten days ago. José Carlos is also the author of the new course design, in his native city, Arrecife!

In the ¼ Marathon, Spanish José María Fernández Atienza, winner of the ½ marathon of the last two years. The organization is also proud to announce the participation on this distance of the Mayoress of Arrecife, Mrs María Isabel Déniz, together with her son and nephew.
