Fun Mixed Doubles back @ CLS
March 17th saw the welcome return of the popular “Fun mixed doubles” tournament. The event, introduced to Club La Santa by Chris Goodman from the UK, was enjoyed by all 10 participants from Scotland, Ireland, England, Isle of Wight, Lanzarote and Denmark.
The structure of the tournament is around a points system, and everyone plays with or against everyone else. The winning man and woman are the ones with the highest points.
Atfer a three hour contest and some well fought matches, Evelyn Millar (Scotland) emerged as the overall lady champion and Chris Smith (UK) for the men. All expressed a wish that this should be repeated in September, when most of the tennis group members are out here again.
