Registration
Registration for Ironman Lanzarote Spain 2012 is now open in conjunction with our official online partner active.com. You can register through the official website www.ironmanlanzarote.com where you will also find full details for the race.

The entry fee is 400* € if you sign up and pay before the 31st of December 2011, after this date the fee will be 450* € (* plus service charge). The entry deadline for Age Group Athletes is 15th of April 2012, or sooner if the limit of 1800 participants is reached. The entry deadline for pro athletes is the 1st of May 2012. Every participant will receive a confirmation of their entry.

Withdrawal & refund policy

Before December 15th 2011: 75% of the entry fee* will be refunded.
From December 16th to February 15th 2012: 50% of the entry fee* will be refunded.
From February 16th to March 31st: 25% of the entry fee* will be refunded.
From April 1st 2012: No refund will be given

* The service charge is not refundable

Entries are not transferable from race to race, year to year, or person to person.
- Min. age on race day: 18 years old
- If your entry is not accepted you will be refunded your money in full

Course Description

Swim (cut off 2h 20min after race start)
The 3.8 km swim is a 2 lap rectangular course taking place in the Atlantic Ocean just outside Puerto del Carmen and the water is around 18-19 degrees so wetsuits are allowed.

Bike (cut off 10h 30min after race start)
The 180.2 Km bike course is a hilly and typically windy ride that brings you through the Fire Mountains and to the northern part of the island with the beautiful view of the neighbouring island of La Graciosa.

Run (cut off 17h 00min after race start)
The run is typically hot and sunny with four laps of 10.55 km keeping the athletes close to the spectators in Puerto del Carmen.

Categories and Awards
Prize Money
The first 6 male and 6 female finishers in the professional class will receive prize money. The total prize money is US$ 25.000 divided as follows:
1. 4.500 US$           
2. 3.000 US$           
3. 2.000 US$                     
4. 1.500 US$          
5. 1.000 US$
6. 500 US$         

As per the rules of The World Triathlon Corporation, all age group athletes will be assigned to the relevant age group category according to their year of birth.
