The 29 year old F1 racing star has been returning to Club La Santa up to 3 times a year over the last decade to ensure his physical fitness matches up to the same standard as his performance behind the wheels and the results are clear for all to see!

 

He first came to Club La Santa in 2001, 1 year after first competing on the F1 racing circuits for the Williams Team and has been returning every since as he simply just loves it here.

 

During this visit, due to his current World Champion status, we excitedly unveiled his photo in our Hall of Fame in the Sports Café here at Club La Santa so he is now up there with the likes of Frank Bruno, Linford Christie and Colin Jackson who have also visited Club La Santa in the past.

 

Over the years, during his visits to Club La Santa, Jenson has participated in the weekly events here such as the Mini Triathlon and Duathlon as well as undertaking his grueling fitness training in the excellent Fitness Centre and Olympic Pool at Club La Santa under the expert care of his personal trainer, Mike Collier.

Every year, he is leaning more towards the Triathlon Events as he has taken part in these both at home in the UK and here in Lanzarote. This visit he participated again in the Mini Triathlon and finished with the first competitors from his group which indicates that he has been training hard during his time here. It remains to be seen if he will ever take up the challenge of the world famous Ironman event that is held here every May?

 

Jenson has always sung his praises of everything here at Club La Santa, he really does get a lot out of every single visit, and we of-course are so very proud to have had him back again, this time as World Champion.

 

He enjoyed making use of all of the facilities here, Sports and Leisure, and as a keen body boarder got tucked in to the world class waves we have right on our door step here provided by the fine climate of Lanzarote and the Atlantic ocean.

 

Jenson especially loved his bike rides and runs with his friends that take him through the most wonderful and dramatic volcanic scenery here on the island of Lanzarote and highly recommends that you all give this a try.

 

After a hard days training Jenson winds down in our fabulous Wellness Centre and then enjoyed the La Casa restaurant here on the resort for a tasty meal and also enjoying on the buffet here at the Atlantico Restaurant as well as relaxing in the Green Bar.

 

We would like to say to Jenson a big CONGRATULATION, we know he had a great week here with us and look forward to seeing him again in the near future.

 

La estrella de F1 ha estado viniendo hasta 3 veces al año a Club La Santa a lo largo de los últimos 10 años para garantizar una forma física optima, y los resultados saltan a la vista.

 

La primera vez que vino a Club La Santa fue en el 2.001, un año antes de competir en circuitos de F1 para el Equipo Williams y no ha dejado de volver desde entonces, por la sencilla razón de que le encanta estar aquí.

 

Durante su estancia, el flamante Campeón del Mundo, y debido a este título recién conseguido, colgamos su foto en el Hall of Fame de nuestro Sports Café aquí en Club La Santa. Ahora su retrato está expuesto aquí junto con los de Frank Bruno, Linford Christie y Colin Jackson, atletas que visitaron también Club La Santa.

 

A lo largo de los años, durante sus estancias en Club La Santa, Jenson ha participado en eventos semanales como el Mini Triatlón y el Duatlón, ha hecho giga-entrenamientos en las magníficas instalaciones del Gimnasio y de la Piscina Olímpica de Club La Santa bajo la supervisión experta de su entrenador personal, Mike Collier. 

 

Cada año le atraen más los eventos de Triatlón y ha participando ya en varios tanto en el Reino Unido como aquí en Lanzarote. Durante esta última visita, volvió a competir en el Mini Triatlón y terminó entre los primeros de su grupo, lo que indica que ha entrenado duro mientras estaba aquí. ¿Queda por ver si algún día tomará el reto de participar en nuestro mundialmente famoso Ironman de Lanzarote que organizamos cada mes de mayo?

 

Jenson siempre ha alabado todo lo de Club La Santa, aprovecha realmente mucho as instalaciones en cada una de sus visitas y por supuesto que estamos muy orgullosos de volver a hospedarle, esta vez como Campeón del Mundo.

 

Disfruta de las instalaciones deportivas y de ocio, hace body board en las olas cercanas del océano Atlántico.

 

Jenson aprecia especialmente las salidas en bicicleta y las carreras a pie con los amigos que le llevan a descubrir una naturaleza particularmente bella y un escenario volcánico dramático que recomendamos a todos vengan a visitar.

 

Después de un duro día de trabajo, Jenson también suele utilizar nuestro gimnasio y el Restaurante La Casa, restaurante gourmet o el amplio buffet del Restaurante Atlántico, y seguidamente un tiempo de descanso en el Bar Verde.
