NEW: Padel Tennis!!

The new padel tennis facilities at Club La Santa are now open.

Padel tennis was originated by Frank Peer Beale in 1898 to help children learn to play tennis. In 1959 Murray Geller revised the rules, where it evolved into the modern game of padel tennis that is played today.
Padel tennis is very similar to regular tennis, and can be played both in singles or doubles; however it is most often played in doubles. The biggest difference to regular tennis is that the court has walls and the balls can be played of them in a similar way as in the game of squash.
Padel tennis is a great game for everybody, because it is easy to pick up and is less physically demanding than other similar sports such as squash.
If padel tennis is new for you, don’t worry: Club La Santa has leaflets available for you with basic rules and information, so you can start and enjoy it on your own…
Or, join the free beginners’ instruction and soon be part of the weekly tournament.
The three paddel tennis courts are located between the running track and the tennis courts.
Remember: next time you are at Club La Santa, don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy this new facility.
