Things to see

Amongst the most notable tourist attractions are the Art, Cultures and Tourism Centres run by Lanzarote's Island Council, most of them promoted by the island's universal artist César Manrique who, turning to account the aesthetic resources of the island, managed to make them into genuine works of art, forming part of the most representative emblems of the island of Lanzarote.

These Centres are:
  • Timanfaya National Park (also known as Fire Mountains)
  • Jameos del Agua
  • Cueva de los Verdes
  • Mirador del Río
  • Jardín de Cactus
  • Monumento al Campesino & Museum next to it

Also worth visiting is the former house of the artist, La Fundación de César Manrique.
