Join Robin Brew and his team for a Marathon Training Camp to prepare you for the autumn marathon season.

 

Traning

 

Robin and his team have years of experience dealing with all levels of ability from those just starting out who are struggling with the basics to those who are looking for additional gains in time for next season. Entirely for runners the Warm Weather Marathon Training Camp offers a unparalleled level of coaching and feedback unique for all levels of ability and will be especially attractive to those wishing to make the most of a well-earnt break and looking to maximise their running in a very short time. The camps are comprehensive but also fun and engaging packed full of easy to absorb training, coaching content and advice.  The camp includes lots of scenic long trail & road runs with aid stations, drills & skill sessions, tempo track sessions, mobility & flexibility sessions, yoga strength and conditioning for runners and practical injury prevention sessions with loads of take home points to implement into your preparation for your next race.

  • 17:30-18:00 Coaching Talk 1: Marathon TRAINING advice & considerations

    • Mobilisation after Long run day, easy exercises to ease tension and help loosen
  • 08:45-09:45 AM Run Session: gentle beach run 5k
  • 10:00-16:00 Free Time (Physiotherapy /massage slots available*)
  • 15:00-15:45 Meet at the Laguna Aerobics Arena
    • Yoga for Runners: Light session based on loosening and relaxing
  • 16:00-17:00 PM Run Session: gradual hill repeats on coastal trails – hold form and technique (video)

Sunday 22nd September

    • Morning Activation Session, skills and drills with pre-run warm up
  • 08:45-09:45 AM Run Session: steady morning run 3k,6k or 8k route options + post run stretching

    • Strength & Conditioning 1: Core strength & stability for runners (injury prevention – pre hab)
  • 16:45-17:15 Meet at the Track
    • Key Session Warm up: example of warm up 5k & 10k races
  • 17:15-18:45 PM Run Session: inclusion in the 5k or 10k weekly road race

Tuesday 24th September

    • Pre-Race Warm Up, example of a comprehensive pre-race marathon warm up

RACE DAY: the Vince Regan 12k Ridge Run

  • A mixture of road and trails with one of the most spectacular views in Lanzarote
  • 12:00-15:00 Free Time (Physiotherapy /massage slots available*)
  • 15:00-15:45 Meet at the Laguna Aerobics Arena
    • Stretch & Relax: Loosen off session
  • 20:30-22:00 Meet in the Green Bar
  • Social evening: prize giving, camp video and feedback
