Welcome to the Kids & Teens department!

The Kids & Teens Department is a broad activity concept for children aged 3-15 years old. The three activity areas all focus on activating the body and challenging the children on at least three parameters: social development, educational elements or motor skills. Hopefully, having these focus points will provide the children with an exciting and active holiday where they get the opportunity to make new friends of a similar age in a fun, dynamic and playful environment!

Play Time (3-10 years)

Opening hours: Monday, Wednesday & Saturday 09:50 - 12:50

Visit the brand-new Play Time, Club La Santa's morning activity club for our youngest visitors. Play Time is the place for children to have fun, play, and make new friends. Imaginative areas encourage the children to move, be active, or immerse themselves. Step onto the terrific Show Time stage, visit the glowing volcano or dive into new adventures in the cosy reading nook.

Play Time's facilities are open to everyone; children under the age of 3 are more than welcome accompanied by a parent or guardian. The bObles tumbling furniture area is a great place for the youngest ones to enjoy themselves while developing their motor skills.

Note: Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, children over six must wear a face mask while using the Play Time facilities.

Activities

In Play Time, the children can:

  • Play in a volcano and learn about volcanoes at Lanzarote
  • Dress up and perform on stage
  • Paint, draw and be creative
  • Challenge each other in the interactive Wizefloor game
  • Play board games
  • Play with beads
  • Build Lego
  • Read books

Green Team Friend (3-10 years)

In addition to Play Time, we have introduced a new concept called Green Team Friend. Here, children of the same age can participate in various fun activities with the fantastic Green Teamers around the resort.

The activities change daily and can include mini-golf, beach activities or a visit to the trampoline park or playground.

Green Team Friend is a morning activity and takes place on the days where Play Time is closed.

Play Time info

Parental/ guardian responsibility: A parent or guardian must accompany the children to Play Time to sign them in at the beginning of each morning. Children cannot enter Play Time alone. As part of the signing-in procedure, parents/guardians must give us their contact number or a specific location within the resort to contact them in case of an accident or emergency. For this reason, one parent/ guardian must always remain at the resort.

Please note that Play Time is not a kindergarten; if children are not used to being left on their own, we kindly ask that a parent stays with them until they feel comfortable with the Green Team members and are happy to remain in Play Time on their own.

The parent/ guardian must pick up the child in Play Time and sign out. Children are not allowed to leave Play Time without the parent/ guardian and permission of the Green Team.

Allergies, medical conditions and additional needs: If your child has an allergy, medical condition or any special requirements, please let the Green Team staff in Play Time know. Please note that the staff cannot take responsibility for administering medication or any other special medical treatment. A responsible adult must accompany children with medical conditions, special needs or potentially life-threatening allergies at all times. If your child has recently suffered from an infectious illness such as chickenpox, we will require a medical note to allow them entry to Play Time. This is to ensure that they are no longer contagious and reduce the risk of infecting other children. The Green Team reserves the right to prevent the admission of children showing any signs or symptoms of fever, cold, or sickness.

Diapers/nappies: If your child is not toilet trained, an adult must stay with them whilst they are in Play Time, irrespective of their age. There are no changing facilities in Play Time and for hygiene reasons, it is not allowed to change your child in alternative places within Play Time. The nearest changing area is in the bathroom next to the Sports Café.

Snacks/ beverages: It is not allowed to bring snacks or drinks. Water is available in Play Time.

Personal items: Club La Santa cannot be held responsible for losing any personal items brought into Play Time.

Birthdays in Play Time: If it’s your child’s birthday during your stay, let us know at least one day in advance, and we will organise a small party in Play Time. You can bring the cake, and we will provide drinks and fun! Alternatively, if you wish to celebrate their birthday outside Play Time, please feel free to borrow the party material (balloons, flags, bunting, etc.) from Play Time.

Safety: Whilst we will strive to maintain the highest safety standards in Play Time, please remember that we are running a supervised play area only. If you would like your child to have individual attention, you are welcome to join them. In extreme circumstances, we reserve the right to remove a child from Play Time if we believe their behaviour may cause harm to themselves or others.

Fun Time (3-10 years)
