Power up for Business with Verve

18th-20th January 2019

Join us for Power Up for business with Verve in January 2019! This camp is specifically designed to enable you to concentrate on optimising your personal and business performance. Through a series of focused, highly interactive workshops and 1-1 coaching sessions with our team, we will work with you to identify an ambitious and realistic agenda for change. There will also be many opportunities to take advantage of the wellness centre and the 80 inclusive sports that Club La Santa have to offer.

Highly Interactive Programme

The programme is designed for individuals in senior roles who find themselves overworked, under pressure or in need of a physical activity re-boot. You will be working with a small, specially selected group and there will be many opportunities to share ideas, to learn from each other and to have fun in a great environment!

Meet The Verve Team

Veronica Burke

Veronica Burke has worked for several years in executive development, most recently on the Faculty at Cranfield University Business School where she is Director of the Talent Development Programme and the Cranfield General Management Programme. Veronica has a special interest in the development of senior executives and has worked with a number of major businesses in the UK and abroad including The BBC, BP and The Home Office. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of London, an MA from Leeds and a PhD from Edinburgh. She lives in Hertfordshire and loves sport!


Eve Poole

Eve Poole taught leadership at Ashridge Business School for 15 years. She now Chairs Gordonstoun School, and is the Third Church Estates Commissioner. Her previous career was with Deloitte Consulting, focusing on change management for the financial services industry. Eve specialises in senior leadership transitions, emotional intelligence and accelerated learning. Clients include Barclays, EY, Tesco, Foreign Office, BBC, Royal Shakespeare Company, MOD, Natural History Museum, NSPCC, Church of England and Clore. Eve has a BA from Durham, an MBA from Edinburgh and a PhD from Cambridge. She has recently written an award winning new book titled ‘Leadersmithing’.


Sarah Cartwright

Sarah Cartwright works with both private and corporate clients as an Executive Coach, Trainer and Image Consultant. She is a qualified coach with a certificate in Lead­ership Mentoring and Coaching from The Institute of Leadership and Manage­ment and she is also a member of The European Mentoring and Coaching Council. She works with women globally to help them elevate their im­pact and step into roles of greater influence. She is also an associate of CSW Inc, a US based organisation that focuses on diversity, unconscious bias and cross-cultural awareness.Sarah works in partnership with clients to help them achieve their business and career goals resulting in real change. Her background as a professional actor has led her to develop a unique brand of experiential training, through which clients typically report devel­oping confidence and improving personal impact.


Amanda Jones

Amanda Jones has taught practical and theoretical aspects of sport and physical education for many years. Her current research focuses on women, the body, physical activity and health and she has a PhD from the University of Bedfordshire. Amanda’s work also examines gender power relations and how dominant discourses are constructed, maintained and resisted in the workplace. She has often worked in partnership with La Santa and frequently brings groups to Lanzarote.
