29th - 30th September 2018 Come and join the first Salsa & Kizomba weekend at Club La Santa. During this weekend you will get more familiar with the Latin rhythms, practicing the basics and improving your technique.
Salsa is a popular form of social dance that originated in the Caribbean. The salsa is born in Cuba, but over the years different regions have distincted their own salsa style, such as Cuban, Puerto Rican, Cali Colombia, L.A and New York style.
Kizomba is a genre of dance and music originated in Angola with roots in Souk and Semba, meaning 'party' in Angolan language. It is a beautiful and sensual dance, explosive and contagious, perfect for anyone who wants to enter the world of dance.

During the 8 years that they have been dancing together they have been giving workshops and made shows for different events in Spain, Europe and the USA. They have created their own teaching method METOD LYD and have now a network of teachers in Spain who teach under this name.
Cynthia and José
Cynthia Martinez and Jose Cuellar met each other dancing socially in Lanzarote. Soon after they decided to teach Advance Salsa Classes at the Occidental Hotel (Costa Teguise) in 2017.
Their classes are fun, full of energy and dynamic. Mainly, their classes focus on body isolation, musicality and to provide a few patterns that students can combine in many different ways.
Nowadays they continue to dance together socially in Lanzarote.

The price for one intensive session (3 hours) is 30€, combining 2 intensive sessions (6 hours) is 50€. Full intensive weekend is 80€. The entrance for the Afro-Latin Dance Night on Saturday 29/09 is 10€. (Free for Club La Santa guests and participants of the course.)

From time to time, there are not enough participants in an event to ensure that everyone can enjoy a good experience, in which case we reserve the right to cancel. This happens rarely and should this occur you would be refunded the full amount.
