What is the Wine Run

The Lanzarote Wine Run started back in 2009 and has grown bigger and bigger every year and has now turned into a huge event combining sports, wine, gastronomy and great weather into a weekend of amazing food and fun for all ages. 
You have the option of running a long or a shorter course, or you can walk the shorter route, if you prefer a more chilled morning taking in the amazing scenery in a slower pace. There will be wine at each aid station and you will be able to enjoy the absolutely stunning views of the Wine area, La Geria, where the courses are situated. This is truly a unique place and has been an official protected natural space since 1994. 

Collect Start number 
On Saturday June 16th you will be able to pick up your race number and a wine-runner bag from the registration desks located in Uga.
If you cannot be around to collect your race number, you can send someone, carrying a photocopy of your ID and the authorization form. (

Guests staying at Club La Santa, can participate in the Wine Run and receive a discount of 30% on the entry fee (discount codes are limited). To obtain the discount you need to contact Anja Van Gysegem per e-mail before Sunday June 10th.

Club La Santa offers a free of charge bus transfer.
This transfer is exclusive for guests staying at Club La Santa during the event.  
The bus leaves from North reception on Saturday 16/06/2017 at 16:00 and will drop you off at the Football Pitch in Uga to enjoy the atmosphere of the Traditional Cuisine Festival. This is also the meeting point for the return at 19:30 to go back to the hotel.

Race day, Sunday 17/06/2018:
Race start - long run: 09:00. - bus at 08:00 from North Reception 
Race start - short run and walk: 10:00. - bus at 08:00 from North Reception 
(Please be aware that we only provide one bus in the morning at 08:00, so if you are doing the short run or walk you will be waiting around 1 hour before the start)
-Return buses to CLS from the Football Pitch (UGA)

     -  1 bus at 13:00h (at the Football Pitch in Uga where all buses are stationed)
     -  1 bus at 15:00h (at the Football Pitch in Uga where all buses are stationed)


It's a free service, you only need to book your place on the bus before Wednesday June 13th.
